pondwater eyes
pondwater eyes starring up at me
wondering, caring which way he should be
reading his sounds and listening to his lips
a tiny man with a world at his feet
licking the window from the back seat
i lay awake listening to his playful teasing
it pulls at my heart with much seizing
i think about you day and night
your pondwatery eyes gaze over me
how could i have done something so absolutely right?
so perfect in every which way
ill have to do my best to keep the girlies at bay
